Bwindi National Park
Nestled in the southwest of Uganda, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is one of Africa’s most biologically diverse rainforests. Home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas, this UNESCO World Heritage Site offers visitors a once-in-a-lifetime experience surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, ancient trees, and the sounds of the wild.
Bwindi can be visited year-round, but the best trekking conditions are during the dry seasons — June to August and December to February. These months offer easier hiking and clearer views of the forest and wildlife.
